Hi... I'm back :-)

I was reminded of my very own blog when I was asked to read my colleague's blog (please see her blog: http://www.khaomani.blogspot.com/). She is a good friend of mine and she is one of the famous 'lunch-gang' I treasure so much. This lunch gang helps me to retain my sanity in this sometimes-can-get-really-hectic workplace. Have a look and you get an idea what we in the education industry are going through :-)

I just checked and saw that some of you guys out there have left interesting comments that started me thinking... I'm not sure why anyone would pen their thoughts down in their blogs except for self-glorification. I wasn't sure if that is my reason for doing so. I thought I started this mostly out of curiosity. Thinking further, I thought the reason is -- I wanted to share with anyone who cares to listen. I want to write down some of my thoughts on life in general... nothing political and there is certainly no secret agenda. These are experiences in my life which I would term as life-changing. No big events, but it could be something that someone said which really gets me thinking and gets me reflecting. The only trouble with that of course is reflecting requires time :-) Living in a fast-paced society in Singapore certainly means that we are pulled in many ways. Survival means we have to prioritise. I now feel I have to place a higher priority to this blog.

Some updates since my last blog in Mar 2005 (yeah... I know that has been a while :-))
I now have a second child born on 31 Dec. 2005. His name is David. His sister Clare is thrilled to have a younger brother. David's arrival meant adjustments for the whole family. My wife and I have really little time to ourselves juggling work and parenting. While Clare has to deal with 'competition' from her little brother... which meant occasional 'jealousy outbursts' which left her parents bewildered.

I promise I will update this blog more regularly. So stay tuned.
